General English Plus Volunteering

General English Plus Volunteering Work Experience

Our new General English Plus Volunteering Work Experience course is designed to give you a great opportunity to meet local people and contribute to the community. You will gain new language and communication skills both inside and outside the classroom, putting your English into practice as part of a volunteering placement. We work with many local organisations to offer a range of volunteering opportunities to suit your goals and interests. These include Age UK, Dogs Trust, Good Gym, Active Norfolk, Break, Norfolk Museums, and more.

Volunteering Opportunities for all International Students

From the 1st January 2021, all students can volunteer with a charity or voluntary sector organisation in the UK.
The Standard Visitor Visa gives all nationalities traveling to the UK the right to volunteer with a registered charity for up to 30 days (6 weeks) while they complete their English language course.

*It is important to note that short-term students can volunteer, but they cannot do ‘voluntary work‘.
