Flying Classrooms offers four core English courses:
Your level of English will be assessed on the first day by our Director of Studies.
Class sizes are usually a maximum of 12 students (occasionally 13-14). The courses include regular tests and individual tutorials giving each student advice and guidance throughout their studies. All students receive an end of course certificate with feedback from the Director of Studies.
Courses are available to anyone aged 14 and over, but students under the age of 16 must have a signed consent letter from their parents.
Our full-time courses run throughout the year. We have classes for different levels of English (Beginner to Advanced) as well as courses for IELTS and Cambridge exam preparation and also Academic Preparation. A year at Flying Classrooms is divided into four terms (see current terms dates below). Students entering a full-time course can start on any Monday during term-time.
Courses can be booked from one week up to one academic year. Private 1:1 classes can be arranged at times to suit individual students.

The General English standard course is 15 hours a week. The course is designed to improve your English through the four language skills; reading, writing, listening and speaking. In addition to the four skills, vocabulary, grammar and pronounciation are also learnt. This course can be added to with afternoon lessons: General English or Academic Preparation, which are both 21 hours a week, or 1:1 lessons.
IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is recognised worldwide as the main English language test for those wishing to study at an English-speaking university. The academic test may also be seen as an indicator of English proficiency by prospective employers (there is a separate IELTS exam for general training). Our IELTS Preparation course (B1) and Academic IELTS course (B2), taught by experienced IELTS teachers, are designed to make sure you achieve success in the exam and secure a place at your desired university.
The Cambridge Certificates are the world's leading range of qualifications for learners of English. They are widely recognised throughout the world by employers, colleges and universities as evidence of English proficiency. An excellent choice if you want to prove your English ability to your employer, or for preparing for your Masters or PhD.
The exams test Reading, Writing, Use of English, Listening and Speaking at an appropriate level. The courses at Flying Classrooms will give you the increased fluency and confidence required to pass your chosen exam. Our teachers are experienced Cambridge ESOL examiners who will provide regular feedback tutorials, practice exams and advice on exam technique.
Over 3 million people around the world take Cambridge exams. Stand out from the crowd with the added prestige of taking your Cambridge certificate in Cambridge, without the expense of staying in Cambridge. Access to Cambridge is easy and affordable. Trains from Norwich are frequent and take 1 hour.
You can take the exams throughout the year. For exam dates visit www.cambridge-efl.org
We can arrange the test and transport to the centre for you.
