Our teachers are qualified professionals. Some have over 20 years experience teaching English. They have worked in a variety of countries and know what it is like to live abroad. While our teachers use teaching methods and materials known around the world, they also bring their own ideas to the classroom, making sure lessons are both challenging and fun.

Flying Classrooms gives you the benefit of personal communication with your teachers on a one-to-one basis during tutorial sessions. You will find all our teachers are friendly and easy to talk to. They will offer you an excellent learning environment in which to develop your English skills.

Val started her teaching career in a high school in Cardiff in 1980. She later spent seven years teaching English as a foreign language in Sweden, which was a wonderful experience. On her return to the UK, she taught in a variety of institutions, including the School of Business English, at the University of Westminster, and at Oaklands College in Hertfordshire. Val joined Flying Classrooms in 2001.
"I enjoy teaching here," she says, "because everybody is so friendly and the school has a lovely atmosphere. In fact, I once left Flying Classrooms to work somewhere else, but I missed it so much that after two years, I came back!"
Lif has been teaching English to foreign students for many years, both for Bell International in Norwich and the British Council in Syria and China, where she worked as an IELTS examiner and monitor. She has been at Flying Classrooms since 2004 and loves the warm, family atmosphere and committed approach to teaching.
"I love it because it is a place of stories and doors into other cultures for me!"
Clare has been teaching English for four years. She has taught in several different schools in England and also spent a year teaching at a high school in China. Clare loves travelling and she has visited many countries around the world and wants to visit many more in the future.
Clare says "I love teaching at Flying Classrooms, there's a lovely, supportive atmoshpere for teachers and students alike."
Woo is an EFL teacher and has taught children and adults in Italy and England. Originally from London, Woo now lives and works in Norwich. She has travelled widely in Europe, especially in Italy, where she has climbed three active volcanoes, and France, where she has eaten barbecued snails. In her free time she is learning sign language and likes to practise on anyone who will watch. Her ambition is to build a small house.
She says "Flying Classrooms is a great place to work. It's so friendly and everyone always seems to be smiling!"
Helen has been involved in the ELT world for over 12 years. She has taught in England, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and the Czech Republic. In New Zealand she was an assistant Director of Studies and has now been the Director of Studies at Flying Classrooms since April 2007. Helen enjoys the blend of management and teaching that her role provides.
Helen says "At Flying Classrooms everyday is different and I love the interaction with students and teachers alike."
