Student Visa

There are four different kinds of student visa for the UK:

  • Tier 4 General Student Visa.
  • Student Visitor Visa.
  • Extended Student Visitor Visa.
  • Child Visitor Visa.

Tier 4 General Student Visa

Flying Classrooms is a Highly Trusted Sponsor under Tier 4 of the UK Border Agency Points Based System. We are happy to support the visa application of all genuine students, who wish to improve their English skills at Flying Classrooms.

General information:

  • You can extend your visa in the UK.
  • You can bring your dependants with you if you study for more than 6 months.

In order to apply for Tier 4 you need a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) from Flying Classrooms. We will issue the CAS for you, once we have received the following:

  • A completed and signed registration form (by e-mail, fax or post).
  • A scanned copy of your passport.
  • A scanned copy of a UKBA recognised Secure English Language Test (SELT). This test must confirm that you are at the end of Intermediate level (B1 CEFR) ready to start an Upper Intermediate class.   • The whole amount of your tuition fees + £10 CAS fee.
  • If you are a students who is sponsored by an overseas government will need to send a scanned copy of your financial guarantee letter from your embassy. The letter must be addressed to the school and must be covering the whole period of your stay at Flying Classrooms. Alternatively you can pay a deposit of £1000. Of this deposit, £500 will be refunded to you on your arrival at the school and the remaining £500 will be refunded when we receive the financial guarantee letter covering the whole period of your stay.

Student Visitor Visa / Extended Student Visitor Visa / Child Visitor Visa

General information:

  • Intended for shorter courses of study, up to 11 months (47 weeks).
  • This is the only available visa for students studying English between Beginner and Intermediate level.
  • You will not be able to work on this visa.
  • You will not be able to bring dependents on this visa.
  • In order to extend your visa you will have to go back to your home country and apply from there.
  • Apply for a Student Visitor Visa if you are 18 or over and a Child Visitor Visa if you are under 18.

In order to apply for a Student Visitor Visa, Extended Student Visitor Visa or Child Visitor Visa you will need a visa invitation letter from Flying Classrooms. Please note that you need the original document for your visa application. We will issue this letter for you once we have received the following:

  • A completed and signed registration form (by e-mail, fax or post).
  • A scanned copy of your passport.
  • A deposit of £500 or full tuition fees.

If you are sponsored by an overseas government, please send us your financial guarantee letter instead.

  • Courier charges, if applicable.

Refund policy in case of visa refusal

Should your visa be refused, please send us a copy of the refusal letter from the British Embassy by e-mail or by fax. We will then refund all your tuition fees minus registration fee, accommodation handling fee, CAS fee and any additional charges provided by a third party (such as bank transfer charges or courier services).
